Spotlight Features - Volume 1A new series that will feature art selected by me. There will be a wide range of themes and genres covered. In addition, there will be periodic interviews and artist spotlights. This article will be also be the home of my upcoming "Awesome dA Artist" feature, which is a re-birth/re-imagining of my "Awesome Emoticonist" award.
Daily Features
On my profile page, I feature a new deviation every day (or two or three).  The piece is usually something that caught my eye.  Could be an amazing digital painting, a fun stamp, a quick photograph that made me smile, perhaps a piece for a weekly theme, whatever.  However, it moved me enough to share it with my visitors.  Below is a list of the artists which I featured during December 2011.  I am showcasing different pieces from their gallery in the hope of showing them a bit more love.  If you would like to see the original piece I featured of each of these artists, please
Jack Kirby
Jack Kirby was born Jacob Kurtzberg on August 28th, 1917 in the Lower East Side of Manhattan in New York City. He was a comic book artist, writer, and editor; one of the most innovative and influential creators in the history of comics.
Growing up poor in New York City, Jacob Kurtzberg entered the newly emerging comics industry in the 1930s. He drew various comics features under different pen names, finally settling on Jack Kirby. In 1940, he and writer-editor Joe Simon created the highly successful superhero character Captain America for Timely Comics, predecessor of Marvel Comics. During the 1940s, Kirby, often collaborating with Simon, created numerous characters for that company and also for the company that would become DC Comics.

Kirby eventually found himself at Timely's 1950s incarnation, Atlas Comics, later to be known as Marvel Comics. There, in the 1960s, he and writer-editor Stan Lee co-created many o

Who is she?
Now the viewer is left with a series of questions... Who is she? Who is pursuing her? What do they want from her? Why is this thing so important she's willing to take her own life if that means they won't have it? What would happen if they get it? And most importantly; what circumstances lead the pieces of this story up to this point?
The answers to these questions are left open to the viewer. It's up to you to decide who she is.

The Known and Unknown Feature [2] + News

This last week I started up an awesome contest with the help of a number of other deviants, we have some amazing potential already and really looking forward to seeing the entries. In other news of my own, I had an amazing opportunity to work with and photograph George Holz who is an amazing photographer and has photographed everyone from Hugh Laurie (star of House) to Will Smith and posters for shows like Smash and Hell's Kitchen. It was an absolute honor to work with him, you can see some more of his published work here. If it works out at least one of the photos I took of him (as well as model he was interviewing) will appear in an upcoming magazine, when it does I will be sure to let you know.

Anyway away from me! Below is some awesome art, I hope you all enjoy it!

ooooh, I think I found my new wallpaper in here :heart: they all look so AWESOME!!
That is really cool that you was able to work with Mr. Holz (I've never actually heard of him until now but if he does movie posters and takes legit pictures (in a non paparazzi way)of Hollywoods finest (Willard Smith is on my list of people I would like to meet) then that's good enough for me :D
