The dArt Showdown is a deviantART centered, team competition that will last the next number of weeks on deviantART. Hosted by `TimberClipse and `IceXDragon in conjunction with #DevNews it is likely the first major team competition on deviantART with thousands of points and other prizes up for grabs!
`TimberClipse posted a few days ago suggestions for a project you would want to host, `IceXDragon came up with the idea of a Art Showdown. The two members then worked together in order to present a new and great contest.

Still life photography usually involves a set up - planning and careful execution of a shot. Food photography in particular takes a lot of preparation and the time to make a dish or an item of food aesthetically pleasing. So I thought it was about time we had a contest involving all elements! Your challenge is to create a brand shiny new Still Life Photography piece that features Food. Now the catch is you must be creative with the food. Entries will be considered carefully and if you are taking photos of food that someone else has made, then you need to step up the mark and make it as unique as possible.
