The whole idea of this is to show how important community is, and to support it for the 2011-2012 year!

Community: "a body of persons of common and especially professional interests scattered through a larger society; [a group with] common character" - Merriam Webster Dictionary

Community is one of the main drives on deviantART and one that I personally look up to. Community is what allows deviants to learn so much about art through comments, critiques and the loving help of other deviants.

So many deviants have helped me learn nearly 80% of what I know about photography. It's this great community that I would like to give thanks to in this project.

This project starts now. The aim is to give every deviant a hug and spread the community spirit throughout all of them.

All you have to do is this:

1. Fave this article so others can see it! 2. Pick any deviant(s) or group(s) 3. Comment a hug emoticon on their page with a link back to this article. (Example: timberclipse.deviantart.com/jo… ) 4. If you get a hug, you also should return it (although you don't have to!)

Then, hopefully, those you hug will see this article, and give other deviants they know a hug, and so on until we give as many deviants as possible a hug.

This Hug Represents both love and affection for our friends here on dA, but it also represents what community is. It's about respect, about sharing the character and beliefs we all love here on deviantART
