My dog... Updates!Update:
Hey Guys,
Over the last week, Rocket has been recovering well! She has sphincter ontrol about 90% back, an she is walking and sliding around. She is still basically bunny hopping at times, and doesn't have the strength to stay up for liong, but she is on the road to recovery!

So, I have for the last 4 years had a wonderful Yellow Lab Mixed with Terrier and Pitbull. She is a gorgeous dog, and one that I love dearly. We got her as a rescue when she was just a few months old, and quickly we found her name... "Rocket". She can jump straight up and down almost 6 feet, able to grab toys from way above our heads. However, this sadly may have been her downfall as well.

Sta.sh Writer HTML ImprovementsHey Folks

As you probably know by now, Sta.sh Writer is a WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) writer allowing you to see a live preview of what your journal, blog, poem or story will look like and edit it's appearance by highlighting text and clicking buttons.
What are the Improvements?
One of the more common pieces of feedback we get from deviants about Sta.sh Writer is that it's not as useful for power users; people who want more control over their layout and want to be able to use their own HTML to give what they write that extra bit of flare.
So what has been done about it?
To make Sta.sh Writer the best it possibly can be for anyone who uses it, we have made Sta.sh Writer into a WYSIWYT (What you see is what you type) editor
This means that you can seamlessly use both the WYSIWYG editor and your own custom html at the same time, and without everything being converted back to WYSIWYG every time you edit

Beta Testing: New Thumbnails ReviewEarlier today, #devBUG released the new deviantART thumbnails to Beta Testers. Here's my review of it, with things I loved, things I didn't like and ways it could be improved.

What I loved
The new thumbs themselves. They look great!
What I like most with the new thumbs, is what they've done with the larger deviations. It's safe to say that I won't miss those skinny, hard-to-click thumbnails (which are usually in the Tutorials gallery or deviantART Suggestions).
Left-alignment. Unlike most of the community, I actually like the left-alignment. I guess it's just a preference. It just looks better to me.

Literature Thumbs. These are probably my most favourite thing about the new thumbnails. They look more professional and I'm digging the lighter look! Now I know almost nothing about literature, but I'm sure the literature community wi

1. How did you discover deviantART, and what made you stay?
I was introduced to DeviantART by my former best friend :devdreamdangerous: in 2003. I have no idea how she got banned, she was pretty snarky, so I'm sure she was snarky to the wrong person. She also introduced me to the art of ~silverbane, whom I fell in love with. I enjoyed the community of DeviantART, and falling in love was an added appeal.

Site Update: New Writer Look and HTML Changes

CSS Contest: Pure & White - EndedWhile people love to work on skins that burst with colors, it is now time to take a step back and try something new.
Not everybody feels comfortable using white, but this time it will be your challenge! Do you feel ready for it?
For this contest you have to create a new design or skin that uses white as the dominant 'color'. You are allowed to use only one additional color, but can use any shade of grey. There should be no black added to your entry either!
Only exception to this would be very small buttons and 1 smaller photo to enhance your entry.

I wanted to post a quick update on changes to Daily Deviations. It is important to note that these changes have not been hard-coded so my team is manually following these new guidelines. This means that errors can and likely will occur until the coding is complete, your patience and understanding is appreciated

The following guideline changes are in effect:

The 3-month rule is now the 6-month rule, meaning that it must be at least 6-months since the last time an artist received a daily deviation. (This was an overwhelmingly popular suggestion from the community and I agree, it's a good one!)

Daily deviation selectors may only select one daily deviation per day maximum. This has been put in place to focus on Quality vs Quantity.

I also feel sorry for those children. How could you not? But I Can't bring myself to donate either.
Why do they keep on saying that "It has to be this year. 2012"?
When I first saw teh video, I knew something didn't add up. I didn't feel the need to look into it but I appreciate you showing me the numbers.
I'm sure there is something more going on behind the scenes. Very slim chance that they are showing us everything even if they say they are.
the American money needs to go to where it can do the most good and it's not to the invisible children foundation.
A stand by you TimberClipse. If DA backs Invisible children, I will do the same.

it puts people is a difficult place. ive seen the video was very moved by it! of course we ALL want to help these poor children in africa who should NOT have to go through such horrific experiences...but i cannot bring myself to donate..this doesnt make me a bad person i dont think...id love so much to help out except is my 'help' going to even directly help? its too hard to say with campaigns like this

Shocking. Just shocking. How could someone do this? Say they're going to help but then keep almost everything for themselves

Especially since they're meant to be a non-profit company and THEN they go and publish a record of where they're money goes. Utterly, totally shocking...

I do agree that a big part of things I may change within their program.
But sometimes its just better to think they could have done worst, and completely seal of the money for themselves.
I think its at least great for them to actually be making a movement.
If Invisible Children is not the way to do it.. then what?
Its better to act than wait just because you know you can't.
If it helps even just one child to have a proper life, I don't really care much if they do it because its their job or because their simply earning a lot of money out of it. What's important is, someone is helped.
Making one difference is better than none.

I don't think anyone is suffering yet through KONY 2012 =.=".

The thing is, if Invisible Children didn't exist at all, things would possibly be better in Uganda. All peace talks have been thrown out because of things that Invisible Children helped do. The Ugandan government was pressured into a ceasefire with the LRA. The planned peace talks were thrown out because the LRA felt threatened. Invisible Children got Obama to send 100 troops to Uganda, which, again, threatened the LRA into forgetting about peace.
