Fella Birthday Scuzzle Extravaganza!

Hello and Welcome to Fella's Scuzzle Event hosted by #fella and it's administrators!

This year's scuzzle is a little more complicated so we ask that you please fully read this post. We will answer questions below in the comments, but if we have already answered it in the blog, we will simply ask you to re-read the blog. This is simply as it would take an incredibly long time to respond to re-explain this to every member ;)

We would like to specially thank 2 deviants, ^Thiefoworld and !JurgenDoe who created the 2 scuzzles! They both may be submitting the final scuzzle at the end of the scuzzle competition as it is their own work! And no... they won't give you any hints. In fact, they won't even know where all the pieces are :eyes:

And of course.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY FELLA!

What is a Scuzzle and Information

A scuzzle is a deviantART created idea. A puzzle hidden throughout deviantART's galleries, scraps, faves, journals, blogs, chat rooms, pages, and in basically every location that you can think of! The twist this year, is that normally pieces are released PRIOR to the announcement of the puzzle. This year that isn't true...

We will be announcing pieces daily, once a day at some random time prior to 11:59:59 PM PDT from April 16-April 30.

This means that no one could possibly finish the scuzzle prior to April 30 when the 16th and final piece is released.

But what's more... There is a second scuzzle! This second scuzzle is only 4 pieces large and will be announced at some point between now and the 30th with all pieces hidden already.

Rules

:bulletblue: Submissions MUST be sent to #fella via note :note:
:bulletblue: Submissions should be titled (For Large: ) "Fella Scuzzle Entry Large" (For Small: ) "Fella Scuzzle Entry Small"
:bulletblue: Submissions will only be accepted for the large scuzzle after April 30 at 12:01:00 AM PDT (Small scuzzle may be submitted as soon as you have found all 4 pieces)

:bulletblue: You will be asked for the location of all pieces, please remember what piece you found where. I suggest creating a text document to save it all!
Please be aware, the pieces will be uploaded to people's scraps, but that is NOT the location. They are hidden elsewhere... In blogs, journals, chats, groups pages, personal pages, etc.... In other words, it might be tricky to find them!

:bulletblue: Anyone may enter who is 13+ years of age
:bulletblue: Please read how to submit below
:bulletblue: You may enter once in each puzzle. If you realize after submission that you made a mistake, you WILL NOT be able to correct it.
:bulletblue: Any questions can be posted as comments below

How to submit and Collect

Every piece is uploaded as a .png. To save it to your Downloads Folder (Or location downloads go to):
    1. Right click the scuzzle piece
    2. Click "Save As" or "Save Image"
    3. Save, and download
    4. Alternatively you may instead use the download button that is to the right or below the deviation.
    5. Remember to save the location you found it (More details found in the last step set here)

Once you have them all collected, you will need to place them correctly. (Note that the pieces may be upside down, backwards, and will not be released in the correct order). To do this, use your favorite editing program and follow these instructions:
    1. Using your favorite editing program (If you do not own one, I would suggest downloading GIMP which works with all OS and is free) create an image that is 1200 x 1200 pixels
    2. When you get each piece add it to your canvas
    3. Figure out the location, and positioning of each piece
    4. When you finish, save it as a .PNG or .JPG

Then please submit it to dA
    1. Upload it to dA using the submit form
    2. Make a title of "Completed 2011FL" (For the large scuzzle) and "Completed 2011FS" (For the small scuzzle)
    3. Save

Then please note it to #fella including this information:

For the large scuzzle only:

    1. A link/thumb of your completed scuzzle
    2. A full list of where you found each piece. Please order it as follows (Image to the right gives you a sense of its positioning. The Plus sign represents the scuzzle piece):

1.1 - Top Row, Left most Image +===
    1.2 - Top Row, Second Image =+==
    1.3 - Top Row, Third Image ==+=
    1.4 - Top Row, Fourth Image ==+=

2.1 - Second Row, Left most Image +===

There are 4 rows in the large image, 4 pieces each.

    3. Press send!

When describing where you found it we suggest you use something like this:

For the small scuzzle only

    1. A link/thumb of your completed scuzzle
    2. A full list of where you found each piece. Please order it as follows:

1.1 - Top Row, Left most Image +=
    1.2 - Top Row, Second Image =+

2.1 - Second Row, Left most Image +=
    2.2 - Second Row, Right most Image=+

There are 2 rows in the large image, 2 pieces each.

    3. Press send!

When describing where you found it we suggest you use something like this:

Prizes

2 Winners of Main Scuzzle (First 2 to complete):

1 Year Premium Membership
1 deviantWEAR T-Shirt
3200 :points: Points

1 Randomly Selected Winner from all correct Mini Scuzzle Entries

6 Month Premium Membership
1600 :points: Points

In other words, to win the large puzzle you must finish it and submit it via note faster than anyone else! (We are using the note submission time, not dA submission time)

However, to win the smaller puzzle, you only have to submit the completed scuzzle!

This way you have 2 chances!

Where Can I Start...?

How about RIGHT HERE! The first piece, which we are telling you is the top left corner of your puzzle (And is positioned right), is right here. You can link to this news article as the first location!

#fella reserves the right to change any rules at any time if necessary. In addition, we understand that the image displayed above may take a while to be processed. Please understand that the submissions for BOTH scuzzles will not be open for a few days and that this is being done to allow more deviants to participate.

When describing where it was found, do we have to put the exact widget it was found in? Like if it was in their deviantID, do we have to say it was found there, or can we just say it was on their homepage?:)
