Hello Everyone...

So, I am sure that I will get some crap for putting this out there, but I really feel someone needs to say it...

There has been some amazing deviants that have really stepped forward since 2012 began. These deviants are people who have joined for fun, work for deviantART or have volunteered. All of them, have done an outstanding job this year and I wanted to take a few minutes and thank them for their work.

$Dan14Lev

Dan has been tirelessly reading through thousands of comments on site updates and really working with the community this year. Last year the staff got a lot of badmouthing from deviants who thought they did not "care" about the community. This year, so many people have stepped up and made a difference. One of the staff that did this was danlev. He has really done an outstanding job and deserves some credit for the amount of time and effort he has put in.

=ToxicAlice92

ToxicAlice92 has gotten a lot of notice already and I can't get over it... Her project, the Warm Winter Project, has absolutely brought the community together this year... She has done an amazing job at taking something that is a very simple idea and really brought it to life. She has an amazing heart and I can only hope that she will continue to do good once this is over.

$techgnotic

techgnotic is another staff member that I think publicly has really taken a lead. His work with the recent art feature and discussion articles are both brilliant, spectacular and wonderfully written by him. Of course give credit to the artists and designers, but by involving so many, he has created a gorgeous piece of art in the form of a journal. Something many say cannot be done.

What I am getting at

I have seen a lot of deviants come and go, many because of concerns they have with how the community is being worked with. I have - for the most part, though not entirely- tried to steer away from it and listen to all sides. I have read countless journals, talked to many deviants, and even voiced some of my own concerns, but overall... This year, it cannot be stated that deviantART isn't doing really well. They sure as hell are. With more changes promised throughout the rest of the year, I think those that have concerns still will find that they are going to be handled incredibly well...

Sure, we all still have things we want changed. I just wrote a huge comment on Dan's most recent update with some of my thoughts, but all of those are being read, and many are already in development and many issues/concerns have already been fixed!

So guys... Can we give everyone who has worked relentlessly both as a deviant in the community, volunteers, and staff a huge thank you? Give dA some credit for what is being done... And... Then enjoy your weekend.

:peace:
If you disagree with me, please feel free to share that, I may debate you, but I do not doubt there are hundreds of sides to every story...

Feature

I am ending this journal with a feature of some awesome art I have also seen this year. When I have time, I am going to try to do that for more of my journals :)

 Thank you, guys!

Alice and Dan rock out, in different areas. They both give this site a sense of community. I haven't seen Techgnotic's work, but I bet it rocks, too.=)

So a round of applause to them:
