Emoticon Appreciation DayWelcome to another Emoticon Appreciation day. Today we celebrate the existence of Emoticons on dA and the existence of Emotes in general. They bring us joy and they help to show our Emotions. You can celebrate this day, by using more Emotes than usual or you can participate in the events that I prepared for today. I hope you will have lots of fun.

I use this Journal as an Overview Journal for all the events that will happen today, so you don't miss any of them.

First of all I want to tell you that I won't announce a specific set of prizes, all I can say that I have 2500

and all of them will be used. Everybody who participates has the chance to win something (if you have the correct answer). The fastest deviants might get a few more points. ;D

New Management at #Fella - The Official dA GroupHello Deviants and Fellas!
For the past few months `RockstarVanity has been running #fella and has done an extraordinary job! However, she is trying to pull back a little and has handed leadership of the group over to me. `RockstarVanity will still be a part of the group's posse and help run things within the group.
For those of you that do not know me, my name is `TimberClipse, or in real life, Zev. I am a student and filmmaker and absolutely love the deviantART community. I currently run a number of groups, but the two main ones that I focus on are #fella and #deviant365 (deviantART's official 365 group).
We will be ramping up some new events here at #fella shortly including a small contest that will be announced soon, so stay tuned!
In the mean time, drop by `RockstarVanity's page and give her a huge thank you for all she has done and will continue to do.

Several Fifi la Fume dreamsWhen I sleep at night, during my sleep-in I had several dreams of myself been with Fifi la Fume as my friend, she wraps her huge massive tail around me, it's really soft, and fluffy tail, me and her smiling at each other, she hugs me, while me hugging back with her, with my both of my hands rubbing her fur, and rubbing her back, rubbing the white stripe on her back, slowly up and down. I really like and love that purple and white skunk, Fifi la Fume.
*The hug scene of me and Fifi, she leaps on to me, me on my knees bend down low, she wraps her huge, massive tail around me, her tail is so soft and fluffy as blanket, kisses my cheek three times, her hands held on my face, laid her head on my shoulder, her hands wrapped around my neck, with my head her left shoulder, placed my hands oh her lovely back, rubbing her white stripe gently*

We had a few banned today, and I must say... how insane is it that these fools are submitting to a group of this size?
One of you always catches them! And on the rare instances you don't., anyone else who does looks at the groups the art was submitted to and contacts me about it.
So let's let it be clear... the artwork we accept in this group must belong to you, or you must give full credit to the person it belongs to.
Screenshots are not original art. You want to include them here? Include what game it's from, and that it's a screenshot.
"Advertisers" need not join us. You're not helping out the other artist by submitting work to 120 groups and claiming any part of it is yours, when all you did was remove the watermark, or make edits. Unless you have the artists's permission and link back to them, and even reply in comments that you did not do the artwork, you are stealing.

IMPORTANT Stuff You Need To KnowHey!
Welcome to "Stuff You Need To Know" #54! This journal covers what's up on our current challenge, the upcoming contest, and a pimp for an affiliate's challenge.

First, due to the result of the recent poll, the "Beautiful Women" challenge will be extended. I think one more week should do it, so the new due date is 10:00 a.m. CST, on Sunday, May 26th. Please, please, please, please participate so that we can have a real competition. Okay?

Wolf loverI absolutly loved wolves! for those who want wolf lineart and wolf stuff(not super digital arts and photos)Wolves are one of my fav animal, they are beautiful creatures that live mostly in alaska and some parts of america.
They are almost endangered because:
Humans! thats right, humans, us humans hunt them down for their beautiful pelt(fur) and also because they stole stuff from farms(e. g sheeps)
You might think that's because they steal. but hey, they are risking lifes just to have something to eat! And what about us? seating on your computer, drinking soda...
I hope wolves don't extinct because of us.

New! Deviation of the WeekHey all. In order to get some activity flowing, =TheGalleryOfEve and I have thought up of something new for the group

We will be posting a poll every week with 5 deviations that have been submitted to the favorites folder. Throughout the week, members will have a chance to vote which is their favorite piece. At the end of the week, the deviation with the most votes will be put into a custom box on the front page, have their work put in the featured folder of the favorites, and have a chance at becoming deviation of the month!

The custom box will also include a mini feature of the artists gallery and will be up all week long.

This will be my last SOPA journal.

Last week, there were only 5 senators publicly opposing #SOPA and #PIPA. As of today, there are now 35 publicly opposing it!

What's even more?! Only 41 senate votes must be a "nay" to stop these bills and kill them.

This was done by you, me, everyone....

If you haven't yet:

1. Plan on calling your Senator every day next week. Pick up the phone each morning and call your Senators' offices, until they vote "no" on cloture. If your site participated today, consider running a "Call the Senate" link all next week.

2. Tomorrow, drop in at your Senators' district offices. We don't have a cool map widget to show you the offices nearest you (we're too exhausted! any takers?). So do it the old fashioned way: use Google, or the phonebook to find the address, and just walk in, say you oppose PIPA, and urge the Senator to vote "no" on cloture. These drop-in visits make our spectacular online protests more tangible and credible.

Although I can't call a senator or such since I'm not a citizen of the USA, I sincerely hope that if the pressure is applied even more, the bill will be shelved or killed off.
