Reflections in Autumn by TimberClipse Reflections in Autumn by TimberClipse

Contest Entry: Natures Reflections

For: [link]

EDIT: Did a few minor color changes for this contest.

Autumn is a very special time of year, it is a time that starts to cool but is also one of the most beautiful times where I live.

This is a reflection photograph I took a few weeks back... I hope you all enjoy it!

I enjoy the odd contrasts in this and wonder about the surface reflection going on in it. Some thing I wish I knew since clearly it's a glass reflection and I can't figure it out without knowing the story behind the piece. And about the piece, it gives a cozy feeling of "peace". Like you just want to lay down on the ground and feel the chill of the fall air, just relaxing outside in the mid or late day. When I started moving by this piece in your gallery, due to I'm sure the bright leafs, I thought this was a water scene, you know? Like gold fish or koi Fish swimming about. It was the quick realization that I was looking at leafs that made me open the piece up beyond thumbnail, to really catch it's full vibrance.
Bravo :).

This is honestly one of the most beautiful photos I have seen so far on DA. It is amazing! The colors are so vibrant and wonderful. Is it a tree's reflection in water? I can't tell because both parts are so wonderfully clear...and that's part of what makes this such a great photo, I think.
I love it. :D
