Early Foggy, and a Tree - Remake by =TimberClipse

Best viewed small first

So after getting some great feedback on the original (image below), I decided I wanted to see what would happen if I played in Photoshop. Now, I know that Photoshop can be a huge downplay in me learning as I can learn to depend on photoshop instead of skill.

This is why I am uploading this Separately .

Note:
This is not a Photo manipulation as it is only 1 image.

Change Log:

Cropped
Sharpened
Blue hues in background brought up
Warmth added to image
Slightly darker

Original:

Thank you!

I think that this represents a big improvement compared to the original, not so much because of the contrast and hues, but primarily because of the cropping. In my opinion, it places much more emphasis on the tree and the grass, whereas there was not much going on in the top half of the original. Sometimes "open space" in the frame can be helpful depending upon the situation, but I don't think that it was adding much to the original.

Nonetheless I agree with you that the best thing with landscape/nature photography is to try to get it right in the field, rather than relying too much upon post-processing.
