I might be over thinking this

He is tardy this year, takes forever
Tightly wove cold web around me

Spring was late with colourful flowers
Full of joy I opened wide the door
Feasting eyes on green leaves for hours
Greedy for summer when temperatures soar.

Nocturnal stroll lit by moonbeam
Inhaling fragrace of sleeping plants
Enfolded by warmth, peaceful scene
Hoarding golden hours that are all too scant.

....Contentment is fleeting, this will not last
Neither will I, like seasons i'll pass.

Well, when you see something white, what do you think of? I think of a white sheet of paper, or a blank canvas. Besides, white is a blank slate. You can't take from it, only add to it.
