Macro Rainbow Flower by =TimberClipse

This photograph was taken with a Nikon D5000 and a Sigma 50mm Macro Lens (1:1).

The shot features a budding flower covered in rain drops. The background is actually a number of other flowers behind it but blurred out.

The subject it self is really incredibly small, and this is only about half of it.

This is an abstract gem that immediately drew my eye from your typical macro flower covered in droplets photo. The splash of orange and yellow against the violet blue backdrop plays pleasantly with the refraction of the flower petals caught in the droplets.

The light filtering through brings brilliance of color and smells like a fresh morning with a slight chill in the air. The conical shape adorned with little beads of water looks almost like a Christmas tree covered in baubles.

Over all, the exposure and focus and composition are excellent. The details and colors bring me enjoyment. A beauty that could only be nature's own.

Wow! That is very nice! But I still think it could use more. Maybe a little color or more in the background. And, no offense, but it seems off. Maybe because it's off-center. I prefer to see at least one main focus in the center. (I'm being a little hypocritical there, because sometimes I don't do that! ^^;) I know it's sometimes hard to get the picture, but I'm sure if you keep trying, you'll get it soon! All in all this is a fabulous picture and I'm glad I got to see it! Great job and keep up the good art! 3 1/2 stars for each! That's a good thing! :)

Really amazing color contrast. I'm not sure if I'm completely content with the composition, but with the colors this would make a fine background.

The colors look great. I really love how all the colors reflect and contrast nicely together. Really wonderful focus as well. The composition is also interesting and almost abstract, Lovely work here!
