Shallow depth of field was cleverly used in this photo. Just looking at the photo it can be seen that the focus point was on the seed and the shallow depth of field blurs most of the cobweb, parts of the tail of the seed, and the whole background. This blur is extremely aesthetically pleasing!

The way the cobwebs seem to fade in front of the seed give the photo the feel that the seed is the centre of attention, which is obviously the artists intention.

The seed and its tail appear to be soft, and the green and brown colours in the background add to this softness.

The only downside to this photo seems to be that the rule of thirds was broken and the seed feels as if it is not properly located within the frame. The only negative point of this photo in total and the overall minimalism of it is marvellous!
