Hello deviants and welcome to Fella's Dictionary brought to you by fella!
Over the past month and a half, a number of our contributors have been hard at work creating a brand new, updated, and enhanced dictionary that will allow any deviant to find common and not-so-common definitions of words, terms and acronyms on deviantART.
This dictionary has had a lot of sweat put into it. We encouraged deviants to contribute terms that they wanted to see defined. We then asked some of our contributors and deviantART Staff members to help bring together the final di
PVART - Boost Your Visibility + Win Points!Project Vision Art (PVART), launched in July of 2014, is the first and only service on deviantART that allows deviants to share their artwork, projects, contests, and more with video accompaniment. The product video is easy to create, can be watched by anyone, and is affordable for all budgets.
About six months ago, I started playing with the idea of how to make art more visible to people. When you sell artwork on deviantART, or elsewhere, you hit a wall; you can only share a link and hope that people will look at it and enjoy it. Adding a video allows you to share more about the piece.
Artwork often has a story behind it. Projects can often be better explained verbally than with typed words. And after all, if a picture is worth a thousand words, a short movie must be worth thousands if not millions. Give video a chance to show off your work!

Who Are The Film & Animation Volunteers?
The film and animation galleries, which we introduced earlier today, are currently run by two community volunteers. kingmancheng who started working with the community in late September of 2011, and TimberClipse who began in November of 2012. kingmancheng is now a mentor for the film & animation galleries and also works as a freelance illustrator and animator. TimberClipse works in the film industry mostly with the camera department and has directed a couple of films of his own.
Together, the two of us work side-by-side to bring activity, daily deviations, and features to the Film & Animation galleries. Every Daily Deviation that is selected, is agreed by both volunteers working in tandem.

Every year, Comic-Con hosts a huge gallery of artists in what’s known as Artists’ Alley. Here, all Comic-Con attendees have the chance to meet and greet some of their favorite creators as they showcase and display their work. The artwork styles range from cartoons to
deviantART Film Submission IssueHello Deviants,
Since May 27, there has been an issue that has kept deviant submitted films from correctly processing on deviantART. They would appear on dA but not ever finish processing. dT was able to fix the issue earlier today, and submissions are now in full working order (and tested by our own kingmancheng)
Unfortunately, some of the films posted between May 27 and today may need to be re-uploaded.
Anything uploaded in the last day or so has been reprocessed. Anything uploaded between May 27 and yesterday will need to be re-uploaded, since the Zencoder doesn't hold onto the processing outputs.
If you were affected by this, we deeply apologize. Luckily everything is working now! Keep posting, we'll be watching!
Interested in joining the film community? Check this out and apply!
What are DDs and Where to Find ThemDaily Deviations Week
What are Daily Deviations?
Daily Deviations (or DDs) are a daily feature chosen from the galleries here on DeviantArt. It is selected by one of the approximately 50 Community Volunteers who are responsible for each gallery on DeviantArt. DDs can be suggested to Community Volunteers by finding the correct CV and then sending them a note. Deviants can even suggest their own work to a Community Volunteer anonymously!
Each Community Volunteer is allowed to accept or deny any suggestion that they receive. They are also given the ability to set their own guidelines that work within the parameters of the DeviantArt guidelines. Every Community Volunteer has their guidelines outlined or linked to from their front page.
Where to find Daily Deviations
DeviantART released a new interface in late-2014 changing the location of the Daily Deviations from the
Monday Munchies Every Monday, I will be featuring a single deviant's artwork. The deviant may be known or unknown, and may have received accolades or joined deviantART last week. By featuring just a single deviant, I hope to give the deviant some exposure and bring a little beauty to your week. I also include a short description about the artist and/or what draws me to their work.
Saulius Krušna | Facebook
I was introduced to SauliusPhotography when Mrs-Durden featured one of their deviations (seen below) with a Daily Deviation. The piece was really interesting to me as it was so natural. Unlike many photos like it, I didn't feel that it was staged. It felt like a single moment
