This picture is a technically nice shot, but it isn't very interesting. The fog, though it may be the point, takes away from the picture and takes away all details. The tree is slightly off-center, just enough to be distracting (at least for me) at least to be a distraction. You've used the "Rule of Thirds" very nicely, but the top third is empty. There's nothing there, so it would have been better if it were cropped mostly out. The middle third seems to be without detail because of the fog. The bottom third is very nice, but it doesn't quite make up for the lack of any real point of interest in the top 70% of the image. A very lovely shot, just not pulled off all that well.
This photo has a very serene feel to it, and a mysterious one as well. The focus is very good, as is the depth of field. I think my favorite thing, however, are the colors- the grass in particular. They're almost muted, but still bold, and quite interesting, they keep me looking. The little white flowers add some interest to the piece, and the lopsidedness (for lack of a better word!) of the tree keeps me interest as well. Excellent job with focus/colors in particular.
I do feel, however, that my eye wanders a bit when looking at this photo. While I like seeing the sky, I feel that there is a bit too much of it showing- if you took it from a bit lower of an angle I think the viewer's focus would be drawn more to the tree.
I like the white flowers in the grass. This reminds me of getting up early and walking through the dew covered grass listening to all the birds calling. Early morning is always a pretty time of day.
Great shot! I think it captures the fogginess of the morning very nicely. However, I noticed that there are a few snippets of branches on the left side. They interrupt the picture a bit because they're closer to your subject than the other trees in the background. If you cropped those branches out, it would help with the flow of the photo. It would create the illusion of space around your subject, like it was a lone tree in a field, making it special. I'm also wondering about cropping out some of the sky. By looking at the ground, you can see how far away the tree is. Would cropping out the majority of the sky put the focus on the ground, emphasizing the distance to the tree? Or does it look awkward, not having enough blue sky to compensate for the green grass? Just something to ponder I like the flowers in the front; they add a nice splash of colour to the scene. The distance from the photographer to the subject makes it tempting to try and find the line between fog and clear air. But of course, try as I might, my efforts are in vain Great work!
This indeed is an interesting shot! However I think what could make this better would be if this photo was taken at a different angle. I think you might've heard this before but use rule of thirds and don't keep the tree smack dab in the middle. Also, while the foggy effect is interesting, I think some saturation would be nice. The fact that the sky is almost colorless isn't exactly pleasing either. However I think there might be hope since when I tilt my screen extremely backwards I can see the bluish hues. Try bring that out with shadows and highlights or brightness and contrast. In fact, I think it looks really nice when I tilted the my computer screen back! Just my two cents. xD
I do feel, however, that my eye wanders a bit when looking at this photo. While I like seeing the sky, I feel that there is a bit too much of it showing- if you took it from a bit lower of an angle I think the viewer's focus would be drawn more to the tree.
Overall, excellent photo- keep up the good work!
