PLEASE NOTE: The Ribbon was NOT made by the airplanes. For 2 hours surrounding this image no planes were flying with smoke on board!
I took this photo today while out on a photo shoot, and thought it was so cool that the Breast Cancer Awareness (ref: [link]) Ribbon seemed to appear in the sky.
The photo was not set up.
This photo is edited but only with slight color/sepia tones added. Otherwise it has remained the same. There was no photo shopping to make the clouds look like this, it is how they were naturally found and photographed.
I decided to upload this to the Think Pink V contest. I do realize that it is not "pink" per say, but I feel that the message is the same as anything that could be in pink.
Really magnificent.I love how you were able to capture such rare view. My first impression was that it was a Breast Cancer awareness event with the planes on the picture. I think alot of people will stare at the image and wonder if it is plane smoke or clouds and i think it makes this picture more amazing and special. I love the light sepia color/tones on the picture, giving that slight groovy edge what makes people look longer at the image. And looking at the picture maybe it will make some people start caring and discover the Breast Cancer Awarness campaigns, communities etc..I love it
This is a very good shot. The right person to spot the right moment. The clods are very good and the sky tones are also pleasant. It is a perfect submission to the contest because of its originality. I don't think anyone else would have anything close to this. I also like the ground very much, forest, trees the autumn colours are so captivating, the low pleasant shades are very relaxing. The only thing that bothers me about this are the planes. A singular plane on the side or no plane at all would have been best since, at least in my case it took my eyes from the sky. However I do not recommend cropping since I love the nature colours. All in all this is a great work original and with a bright idea behind it. And because of the positive cause it will have an impact.
I've seen clouds that form like these before, so this is truly a magical moment that you caught it with a beautiful photo! I enjoy the sepia colors you put in, makes everything seem more warm. :3 Well done!
I didn't even realize it looked like the ribbon until I saw the title I was about to ask if the planes did it too, since it is coincidental that such a perfect logo formed above an area where there's a lot of them resting on the ground But I believe you since I've seen all kinds of weird cloud formations
