The Visual Narrative Project

After receiving more than 100 scripts from more than seven different countries, Meredith and Zev chose just a single script by Emilio Iasiello to be produced. THE DANCE, is a compelling story about a young couple experiencing a rough patch in their relationship, who stumble upon a yard sale where Hank, an elderly man, brings light to the danger of letting life tumble through one's hands.

I am willing to create a short advertisement (30 seconds or less) for a piece of artwork, project, or other such topic.

Due to the nature of commissions here, and the maximum amount I can charge, this will require that you bring in the majority of the content and I edit it for you.

If you would like me to film the content, please contact me directly and we can discuss a more appropriate rate.

This commission includes:

- Full edit of any content you provide

- Upload to your choice of websites (inc. deviantART, Vimeo, and/or YouTube)

- You will receive a final full quality piece as well as compressed versions

- I retain the rights to use the video for the purpose of a portfolio piece, but you may also use the video in any way you wish.

Hello!

My name is Zev (aka `TimberClipse or TC).

I was introduced to deviantART by a friend and have since that day have fallen in love with deviantART and it's community.

About Zev

Zev Vel is a 17 year old director of photography based in Woodstock, NY. He has worked on a wide variety of film sets including music videos, documentaries, feature films, and live performances. His experience varies from working as a director of photography, key grip, gaffer, and editor. Zev is currently attending Bard College at Simon's Rock as a freshman.

Film Experience

Zev's work on short films, includes: Persephone (key grip/gaffer); Blondie's Mother music video (camera team); and Celebration of the Life of Dick Kniss (bassist for Peter Paul & Mary) (DP, editor). Zev's feature film experience includes In Our Nature (G&E Intern) which premiered at SXSW in 2012 starring John Slattery (Mad Men) and Jena Malone (Hunger Games: Catching Fire). Other professional projects, include films for the Tonner Doll Company, MasterCard Headquarters in New York and Ulster Tourism.

Zev's short documentary, The Symbol of Peace (director, DP, editor) which was accepted and premiered at the Wayne State University: MovingMedia Film Festival in June 2012 and was then screened at the Peace River Film Festival in September 2012, the Woodstock Film Festival in October 2012 and the Austin Film Festival in October 2012.

As a director of photography, Zev has expertise in handling professional gear. He is also experienced with post production work as an editor and text animator using Final Cut Pro 7, Adobe CS5 and other products.

Photography

In addition to filmmaking, Zev's passion for the natural beauty of the world around him is apparent in his minimal editing approach in photography. His still images include portraits, nature photographs, and photojournalism. Zev also has experience in proffesional settings such as weddings and film sets.

Zev's photography has appeared in a jurried art show in Ithaca, NY as well as various publications including two full page pieces in Qvest (51), The Goodlife Youth Journal, and The Woodstock Day School Battering Ram (spring 2012). In addition his photography has been featured on numerous websites and received mentions as finalist in some competitions.

Zev on dA

Zev joined deviantART in 2009 since then, he has become part of the loving community. On December 14, 2011 he was awarded the `symbol which is awarded to senior members quarterly on deviantART. Then, unexpectedly on May 1, 2012 he was awarded the deviousness award, an award that "...is an accolade which is traditionally handed out on the 1st of every month to one truly outstanding deviant." Zev was the youngest recipient of this award at that time.

Zev has been a part of many groups on deviantART. Some of them do not exist any longer while others have grown and developed through this day. #fella, #deviant365, #DevNews, #devNETWORK, #deviantART-Related, #seniormentors, #dAWishingWell and #StaffAppreciation. In addition, Zev works with many art related groups such as #iLovePhotographyClub, #SkyAndNatureClub, #Unknown-Artists-Club, ~dAPN and the group he founded, but no longer runs, #Feature-Club.
